Hi James,
It is 15/3/09 here in Safety Bay (near Fremantle) W.A. so you may be due to berth in Halong Bay soon. I am assuming we are a few hours ahead of you. Although I would never be able to have a wonderful cruise on Arcadia, I so enjoy your descriptions and photos of the places visited and feel that this is a marvellous 'second-best!' Hi James
What an inspiration this blog is to cruisers, old and new. We have friends that are due to have their honeymoon on Arcadia in April having never cruised before. They were already looking forward to their holiday but now are even more excited about the prospect of spending time on Arcadia having spent time each day reading your blog. To us though, this blog has summed up what cruising is really all about, sailing and relaxing, ports old and new with their respective sights and scenery, meeting new cultures and appreciating the differences and then memories of that trip. Thank you again James for a fantastic experience

Hello James,

A Day without sunshine is like night - true? Consequently I can report that it is nearly always like night here!! Only joking, for once I am basking in lovely warm and sunny weather here near Forte Dei Marmi (ssshsh, The Commodore may hear me...)

I love the Maglev at Birmigham airport and that only takes about 3 minutes to do 500 meters!!!... so the one in Shanghai must have been a real experience.

I am sure that Hong Kong will also have many highlights - get posting those photographs as soon as you have time James.......us "little bloggers" cannot wait!

I dont think you can beat the leisurely pace of the Arcadia, 431km is a bit too fast for me.
Have a wonderful time in HK just looking at the web cam it is either dirty or there seems to be some sort of pollution around?

Looking forward to more great updates. Hi to all on the Arcadia.
