Hi James Got back after our week away, and have now caught up on all your brilliant blogs in the past week, its amazing how much you have done and covered in a single week. Riveting reading as always. You mentioned John Baranski's name in the blog, and it brought back a very special memory for me, we were on Aurora 6 weeks after she was launched, and I got an invite from John to view the Bridge while Aurora was at sea, what a thrill that was, nice to know where he is now.

You are homeward bound now, but still many amazing ports to see, cant wait for your future updates.

Dear James, Regarding your comment about Spring time when you return , it has been very much Spring here and now. Beautiful weather. Will it last? very unlikely. Still it has been wonderful homecoming weather.
It is really strange to see the pics of the dockside in singapore. It all looks exactly the same as when we were there 6 weeks ago. Deja vu? Excellent pictures of Raffles Hotel, I was there before too!

Hi James & everyone on board Arcadia,

AAAh memories....of Singapore that is & just to ask, did you get the pictures of "our man in Singapore" Sammy by your email? Perhaps I have made a mistake with the address?
By the way, when we were there we had to have one "proper" Singapore Sling and one without alcohol as Tony was on the antibiotics! It looked the same and tasted the same just did not have that kick!!

There is some great live music in Raffles but I bet you had them standing on the peanut shells to catch a glimps - Bravo James!

Your voyage really does seem to be going quite quickly now - although it seems ages ago you left Southampton. Still, you do still have a few nice ports yet so mustn't wish the time away - even though I am wishing it was April 9th when we leave home for Coral Princess on Fort Lauderdale (and two special days in Miami with my son, whom I haven't seen since November) Living in Nassau is all very nice, but we don't see him often enough :-(

Thanks for the update James - I hadn't realised that there were 2 calls at Singapore! What a good idea.
The webcam is a bit confused though....it now says you are going back to Perth so it's only on your first visit...so you'll just have to go right around again!!
Really loving the blog, and the excellent photos.
I will be on Oriana in a couple of weeks, as Port Presenter...my first one (hopefully of very many)
Perhaps one day I can do a Grand Voyage on the lovely Arcadia...or does Graham have a long term contract for that!!! It was Graham who inspired me to apply for the role, so thanks to him too.

Great blog pictures of your time in Singapore, maybe the Raffles doorman is saying to the other person, "No its not Sir Elton John playing the piano".

I was lucky enough to hear you play the piano at the church service on Feb 8th in the Palladium
you have got great talent, anyone who can play a musical instrument is talented in my book.

Langkawi is a nice port when we were there in 1997 we went on a tour that included the island of the pregnant maiden, there was also another island that had a fresh water lake in the middle that you were able to swim in.If i remember correctly i think there were jellyfish in the lake. It is a popular tourist resort with Australians especially from Perth as it is easily accessible via Kualar Lumpur.

Enjoy your time in Malaysia.
