Hola jaime como te va ? yo soy puro acapulco. what a great ,great pictures you just fill me up with memories ,yes man.I know.I know every spot every color,the side walks, las palmas de cocos,the beaches where we play soccer until the soccer ball got tired and the mountains were i grow up hunting iguanas(one of the local best dishes)Im living in canada and was very nice to see this. muy bonitas fotos muchas gracias

We're really enjoying your pictures from this lovely voyage, especially the Panama Canal ones - we sailed from Acapulco to Barbados in 1997 on board Arcadia, so lots of happy memories! We're looking forward to getting back on Arcadia in Dubai for the last leg of the journey.

Thank you for your world cruise blog again this year, James. It is very exciting to see all that is happening, especially as my husband and I are joining the cruise again in Sydney ( going to Singapore) as we did last year and had such a wonderful time. We can't wait for Arcadia to arrive here in Sydney again and are counting down the days.

No I can't really speak a word of spanish anymore, but thank goodness for google translate ;-0) Learnt it at school but that was a long time ago now!

I was wondering who the rather dashing young man in the panama style hat with the photographers was James?? ;-)

I'm not sure I should read the blog James. It just depresses me. I wish I was there! Acapulco looks amazing. Sun, sea, sand - what have I got - grey sky (although sun is promised for the weekend, but you know what that means don't you - cold freezing nights) a high of 4c if I'm lucky!!

Is swine flu a thing of the past now in Mexico - this is where it all began nearly a year ago! Or are you now on swine flu watch onboard??

Did you have a new group of passengers arrive yesterday?

Oh, those baby turtles look lovely. Not sure I could actually hold one, but I'd love to see them up close.

Looking at the headliners guys reminds me of Xmas day. The really tall guy playing a dame in the panto - and his big blue wig falling off in the 2nd sitting show - Lol, what a great show that was and soooo funny :-)

It wasn't your birthday on the 27th of this month was it James?? I'd hate to think I'd missed sending you birthday wishes!!

Well DD has decided it will be a good idea for us to go on Ventura's weekender in March which just happens to return back on my birthday! So it's my birthday treat - So at least I have something in the short term to look forward to :-) You'd think she'd want to get away from cruise ships on her leave wouldn't you? But to be fair Tom is taking both the kids to Las Vegas whilst she's home, and our son hasn't had a holiday since Xmas 08. He just doesn't take the time off! I bet his employer doesn't give him extra pay either as he's missed it ;-o( Just after finishing sixth form I was worried by my son's lack of wanting to do anything at our expense - I thought he was a lazy little so and so. But then he started working with the guy he's with now and he works all the hours god sends for the minimum wage. Unsociable hours and more hours than your average 9 to 5 job!

Thinking back, I guess it was his year out - whereas some go travelling he just spent it at home (Lol) !!!!!!

Well it's Friday - Mum and Dad always come on a Friday James. It's a bit of a bind sometimes, but seems to have become a ritual!

TTFN and look forward to seeing the next entry of the blog. Hopefully from the place no one can pronounce in Mexico :-O)

That is so sad and I have everything crossed that you are going to be able to fly and meet Arcadia in Hong Kong and enjoy your cruise. Would be such a bugger if circumstances don't allow that.
All the best for the positive outcome!
I hope that your shoulder does improve 100%, well enough to have your holiday anyway and if the need arises, have surgery when you return home.

Happy birthday. Our first cruise was on Arcadia which we joined in Acapulco. I will never forget being on the coach and seeing Arcadia across the bay shimmering in the sun light. We were fortunate to meet you at the welcome on board party and then had an invite to your party. I loved that cruise and can't wait to be back on Arcadia 5 weeks today.

We are enjoying your blog and the wonderful photos - especially the transit of the Panama Canal and the meeting up with the lovely Oriana which we have been on 3 times. Friends of ours are onboard Arcadia for the World Cruise and we are joining them and the ship in Dubai for the final leg back to Southampton. In September we will be sailing from Southampton to Sydney on Oriana so this is really giving us a foretaste of what's to come.

Well James, our Hong Kong segment isn't as certain as we'd hoped - I have torn the tendons in my left shoulder and it is extremely unstable and painful. I hope it won't stop us joining you - but as I am now, I don't think I could manage it as I can't move the arm at all. We'll keep our fingers crossed that the physio I have arranged, can work some magic and avoid the need for surgery.

S*ds law being what it is - our tickets arrived today to great excitement but a bit of anxiety too.
Well, what will be, will be and either we will make it - or we won't!

Chris Bullen is the EP on Aurora from 16th Dec-19th April according to my Portunus Mag.
Had the BEST fishing charter in Acapulco a couple of years ago,will do it again one day,fantastic 1 week stay and WILL go back again!The Hyatt on the 22nd floor was the best
Am so envious of the Arcadians on there World Cruise. Hope Aurora is as exciting!Doing Singapore to Southampton,6 weeks and 5 days to go.

Wow you certainly had fun in Acapulco, so much to do there.
When i was at sea Acapulco was a port where you anchored out, i remember we were coming into Acapulco Bay on the Oriana and as she was slowing down, Porpoises were riding along with us just off the starboard bow it was a beautiful site.

Thanks for saying about Steve, is he joining Artemis, or Oriana. and also is Chris Bullen still EP on Aurora.
