Just the beginning

We are now enjoying time at sea – it has been a lovely clear day with calm seas and yes, sunshine. The daily Horizon paper certainly has a packed programme of things to do and see on board. And there has already been lots of talk today about our celebrity cabaret, Ronnie Corbett, who remains a legend!

The theatre was filled to capacity this afternoon as I conducted an informal interview with celebrity chef Atul Kochhar and wine expert Ollie Smith; they were great together and we all thought they would be a superb comedy double act - the Ant and Dec of Azura!
I thought I would list just a few of our popular events and you will agree that we have a packed daytime entertainment programme:

Tennis, Travelling alone get-together, Handicraft class, Line dancing TV comedy Quiz, Hosted Bridge Class, Hosted Deck Quoits and Shuffleboard, Tour of Azura, Guest Speaker Nick Slope and Wine Tasting with Olly Smith…AND THAT WAS ONLY SOME OF THE MORNING EVENTS!!!!

Tonight is also the first formal evening and the Captain’s welcome on board party in the Atrium and Manhattan, where our passengers will be welcomed personally by the Captain and the Senior Officers. All of the Entertainment Team are looking forward to hosting the first ever session of fun interactive games on SeaScreen.

A great first day at sea with something for everyone. Our Managing Director Carol Marlow presented a very informative talk in the Playhouse theatre. Jane Middleton, our Annie Lennox tribute, attracted a great audience in Manhattan - the atmosphere was electric. It was also fantastic seeing our elegant passengers dressed in their formal attire on the dance floor in the Atrium.

I must say, it has been a wonderful start to Azura’s maiden voyage and this cruise is just the beginning!

Hi Neil,
So pleased to see that the good old deck quoits is available on Azura, along with all the other entertainment, it's difficult to get the sunbathing in!!Glad that there are no teething troubles, and that the weather is kind to you.Look forward to the report after your first port of call.

Enjoying this blog..thank you! As an avid (but novice) ballroom/latin dancer I'm anxious that the dance floor in the atrium isn't that big..a few people on board have stated this along with some who went for visits... also not many seats/tables visible in the atrium...will I have to cha cha cha and drink my bombay sapphire at the same time? :)
