Cocktails and cabaret

A superb maiden cruise and what a wonderful sailaway from Gibraltar - possibly the busiest I have seen!!!! This evening is the final Formal night and Captain Keith Dowds has just completed his final speech at our farewell cocktail party.

We have met some wonderful people this cruise and it has been great to catch up with some regulars too. It has been a wonderful 16 nights and a lovely couple said to me today that they “would like to turn the ship around and start all over again”.

The brilliant Gary Wilmot is performing this evening in the theatre and we have another great cabaret in our aft show lounge (Manhattan) who is a superb tribute to Dusty Springfield.

The Headliners Theatre Company performed their final show last night which was also a smash hit. The show entitled 'When Swing Was King' pays tribute to that wonderful swing era with great songs and beautiful costumes.

Weather-wise although a bit chilly in the shade we have had some blue skies which was perfect today as we sailed past Ventura who is on her way to her first port of call.

I have also attached some photos of our cabaret 'Line Up' which I am sure you will agree is first class.

Hi Neil

I just want to say that I have enjoyed reading your blog and following the Azura via the webcam. My Dad and his partner are on the ship and I'm sure that they have enjoyed their trip to all of the different countries, together with the entertainment and the facilities that the Azura have to offer. Thanks again for your comments, it felt like I was on the ship. I'm sure everybody are sad that they trip is coming to an end.
