Hello Again,
Hope you enjoy these photographs taken from the Sky Tower in Auckland.

Even the clouds are lighter here..............

The Indulgent Arcadia at home in Auckland Harbour overlooked by the Financial district.

The view of Auckland Marina. Sailing is big here - Aucklanders mixing with Arcadians!

In the distance you can see the Volendam HAL.

I take this opportunity to say hello to my Colleagues on Volendam - HAL - Holland America Line.

Enjoying 360 degree vision from the tower.

When I first went up the Auckland Tower I was nervous about standing on the glass deck - but once you step on you get used to it and your fear disappears..............

There are two types of extreme attractions - the Sky Walk and the Sky Tower Dive. The lady in the orange suit chose to have a 360 degree walk on the suspended rail - 200 meters above the ground - rather her than me............

Spot the man in blue who is taking a controlled fall - Sky Diving - shame I did not have time to do this.............

Inga pauses for thought admiring the surroundings......astonished at another view........the Vista...........!

The intense blue shading is generated by the special glass used in the construction of the Tower.

How appropriate that the Vista Class Ship Arcadia is berthed in eye line with the Auckland Sky Tower.
Bye for now,
James.

Hi James,
The pictures are great but the height makes me go weak at the knees, i thought i was brave going for a sky walk in Cebu, that was only 37 stories high, no where near the 200 metres you would definitely not get me anywhere near the edge of that.I would much rather have my two feet firmly planted on the ground thank you.
Looking forward to more great Pics.
Regards to all on Arcadia

Geoff you and me both, we dont even fly now as my husband is terrified of heights too, it must be wonderful having no fear at all.

Norma & Peris
Fabulus views indeed. I'd be ok up the top but not on the glass floor.
I believe the restaurant is fantastic - our friends dined there one New Year's Eve.
hi James
You're braver them me, I got sweaty palms just looking at the photos!
Hi James,
Well done on more fabulous photos! Only 6 days now until we join you in Brisbane, starting to think about packing (I've already done a trial run to make sure we are under our 23kg p/person limit!) and lists lists and more lists for my parents who are looking after our children whilst we are on board with you!
The weather here in Torquay in Victoria is spectacular at the moment, perfect beach days (will be heading down later today with some friends), and warm warm warm. Hope it stays like this for your trip across to Sydney :) See you in 6 days!
Regards,
Danielle.
I am so enjoying your blog.
My friends Julie and Ken Goddard are on board and it's great to see the places they've been visiting.
They get off at Sydney, to spend two months with their family.
Should you bump into them, please tell them I miss them, but can see from your blog that they are having a fabulous time. Sue
