Let go forward, let go aft and Arcadia is on her way 'reversing' out of port - obviously!
Hello Again,
Just to bring the Auckland blogs to a close here are some shots of Arcadia's sail out.

The Port Authority showed us spectacular plan which have been drawn up for a new Cruise Terminal Building to replace the old shed which you can see here on the left of the picture. If the Government gives the go ahead for the funding, it will have a walk way direct from the terminal to Queen Street. Let's hope is does get the green light. Cruising is a fast growing market in this part of the world.

A warm evening on deck as Arcadia sails out of Auckland Harbour.

Leaning on the ship's rail as she sails out is always a good time to ponder one's thoughts.

The City of Auckland and surrounding is a large area.

What open skies you see in the Southern Hemisphere. The sunsets are not as orange as in the West - more like a mink colour............

What a memorable day we enjoyed in Auckland the first of our New Zealand ports of call. Since then we have been to Christchurch and Dunedin. The weather in these ports has been stunning - simply the best with sunshine all the way so I look forward to posting more in the days ahead. There is one thing for sure and that is that our passengers love New Zealand and all want to come back to see more.
Bye for now,
James.
I shall return one day.

Hi James,

Hi Ros,
I reckon most people have a fear of heights, perhaps except for young teenagers, mine were quite happy to pose while sitting on the edge of the sky walk,or have a photo taken while balancing on one leg.NOT for me though!
regards to all on Arcadia

Yes agree with Sharon, once ou get to Sydney, I'll really feel you're on your way for us in HK.
I do envy you calling at Sydney - I wish we hadn't had to cancel that part - but it was the right thing to do I'm sure.
Calm seas!

Hi James. It's been really great to follow the Arcadia's journey todate and have truley enjoyed reading your blog. My Partner and I will be joining you in Sydney in a few days time and we are really looking forward to the journey home to Southampton with you all. Having just spent the last 2 months in New Zealand & Australia your photo's of NZ have brought back some very happy memories, although you appear to have had better weather than us. Bye for now, safe trip accross the Tasman Sea.
