Adam Sharp and Corinne Batty from our Southampton Office proudly showcasing Ocean Terminal. It is always great to catch up with our shore side colleagues during turnround days. Corinne and I have enjoyed many a laugh when Corinne has flown out to assist us with our fly cruise turnarounds in
Barbados, New Orleans and Acapulco - we appreciate all the back up and support we receive from our Port Operations Department.
Good Day Everyone,
I did enjoy my visit to the new Ocean Terminal in Southampton. The design of the Terminal is most impressive and more to the point it works a treat for us!
Our Crew Office Manager Katie and her Assistant Rakesh saying farewell to our crew leavers. Katie went on leave from Southampton and Sam Jefferson rejoined - many of you will know Sam from our Grand Voyage 2009.

Welcome to Arcadia - Mr and Mrs Michael Mullane! Michael is our Cruise Director and Jenny is travelling with us for this cruise. All Aboard!..........

The Baggage Hall - the work horse of any terminal.

ARCADIA is in the building!

The check in area - modern and up to date! This works a dream for passengers and staff.

Mario Schuelli our Passenger Services Manager and Liz, whom we affectionately call the 'Check in Queen'! Liz is marvellous and ensures all runs like clockwork. Thank you Liz and keep up the good work - see you next time.....thank you for the message of appreciation received for Mario today........

Belinda our Administration Manager and Allister pictured with our check in ladies.

Reeva THE hairstylist of Arcadia - and my personal barber! Pasquale is our Massage Therapist.
They are adding to the Arcadia Welcome and also touting for business in the Terminal!

Wide open spaces outside the Terminal.

Captains of the future!! Naomi McFarren second from left on the front row who organised a visit to Arcadia for Deck and Engineering Cadets. They had a tour of the ship and enjoyed a Meridian Lunch on board. Also in the picture are our own Arcadia Cadets on the left Oliver Boulton and on the right Chris Kennedy. Next to Chris is Ian Hampton.
As I write this blog, Arcadia's open decks are in full swing, not a breeze on deck and brilliant sunshine - so welcome after 2 months up north.

No funny business here!.................
Ciao for now,
James.
One of the great disadvantages of hurry is that it takes such a long time!

The new Ocean Terminal evokes so many memories for me as a young lad working as a messenger boy for P&O's agents in 1959/60. So many times I used to cycle down to this berth to either take messages to the pursers office, or help clear baggage through customs which had been left behind by incoming passengers from one of the many P&O ships of the time. It was with such emotion to join Arcadia from this wonderful new terminal in July, the embarkation experience was just brilliant. We are back again on 4th October .. will you be on or at home! looking forward to it as always.
