From Left to Right - Mario, Linda, Mick, Kylie, Nick and Sam.
Meet the Fantastic Australian Clearance Team from Customs and Immigration who travelled with us from Singapore to complete face to face inspections for our Passengers and Ship's Company. All formalities are now complete and Arcadia is 'clear' to enter Australia. You will recognise Mario our Administration Manager and Sam our Crew Manager. Both Mario and Sam are working all hours necessary to see that every angle is covered for our GRAND VOYAGE and that 'Permission to enter' is always granted. They also have to account for all passengers and crew before we give clearance for the ship to sail and then I have to go to the Bridge to sign off and report to the Master that all is well.
Our thanks to Linda, Mick, Kylie and Nick for all the fun and laughs we had between the serious business - they hope to come and visit us next year on Arcadia's Round World Cruise 2010.
To complete the day Commodore Burgoine and I took time to meet on his Balcony and survey the most inspirational sea and sky and see the sun set! What could be better? We are all set for a non stop day of action in Fremantle tomorrow.
I have just been down to the stores area where Connie and Orla are beavering away with their teams so make sure that everything is 'tightened up' as much a possible to make room for our containers of stores that are arriving at Fremantle. What a great team I have to depend on.......

Enjoy Fremantle James, its always nice to have sea days, but even better when after 5 you have somewhere new to see and explore. Have to agree re the organisation regarding immigration on board, dont know if you still do it the same, but we used to go to the Crow's Nest and pick up our passports from your staff, go through immigration, walk out the other side of Crows, and hand it back to yet another of your personnel, very efficient. We didnt get our passports back until much closer to home (if I remember maybe Egypt), you took care of it for all that time, a bit unnerving at the time thinking that we didnt have our own passports, but it all went without a hitch.
Cheers
Mary K.
