Good Day!
What an evening on board Arcadia - the parties were electric and it was like Christmas all over again to see so many people from past cruises and some whom I had not met for 10 years! I had lots of laughter and fun with my dinner table companions - we did not leave The Meridian Restaurant until 11.30pm - then just enough time to see the tale end of the 'True Brit' show in The Palladium Theatre which was packed to capacity. After this I had a stroll round the Public Rooms and all areas were busy - wonderful to see so many people out late on a Grand Voyage - this is going to be a lively event! Then again with James and Sally on board, passengers are scared to stay in their cabins too much in case they miss something! There is so much going on and so much to observe! It is always good to get a good belly ache laugh!!!! Was there any need to break all my new year resolutions just one week in and dance the night away in Electra??? The Midnight Train from Georgia was well and truly on track..........and all whistles were blowing! Truly it was a Gala Night.
The weather is great - warming up by the day - and we will be going through the Straits of Gibraltar between 0300 and 0500 hours tomorrow morning. We will then be in the Med and warmer days. Looking out a 5.00pm today the sun was setting and the clouds were pink in the sky, beyond this you could see the moon - looking like a big white snowball set against a clear blue sky. It was one of those moments when I thought all is well with the world. These are sights you only get to see when you are in the wide ocean space.
Martin Bell, Internationally renowned News Correspondent is on board, however there is no truth in the rumour that Kate Aide is to joins us as Flight Coordinator........
I will be retiring early this evening to regain my youthful looks!
Before I sign off my Congratulations to JAY for winning the competition - mine was the right foot!!! Next time you are sailing with me Jay I will send you a bottle of wine if you guess the right answer - red or white?
Best wishes,
James.

Hi James. I will see you on 6th February to claim my bottle of Red/White wine. It is surely a very lively cruise and we are so looking forward to seeing Arcadia for the first time.
Kind regards Judith and Alec Cornish-Trestrail.
