Thumbs up - we are ready to open the doors at the Commodore's Gala Party! From L to R - Tim, Ronan, Carl, James, Chris and Theo.
Good Day Everyone,
Last evening we celebrated Robert Burns Night! A very stylish Formal Evening on board and also the Commodore's Welcome Reception for our passengers who embarked at Mumbai. Everyone was out in force and after dinner and shows, the dancing went on into the wee small hours!

Katrina, James, Katy and Charlie!
Did you know that this is the 250th Anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns. A special HELLO to all the residents of Alloway in Ayrshire, the town of his birth. I do love Scotland as did my Father and every summer as a child we used to go on holiday to the Highlands where the air is exceptional.
My thanks to Mary K ( who is on board Ventura at the moment on holiday!) for these verses which I would like to share with you.
The Selkirk Grace
Some hae meat, and canna eat
And some wad eat that want it;
But we hae meat and we can eat,
and sae the Lord be thankit.
And some wad eat that want it;
But we hae meat and we can eat,
and sae the Lord be thankit.
Last Verse of For A' that and A' that
Then let us pray that come it may
(as come it will for a' that)
that Sense and Worth o'er a the earth
Shall bear the gree an' a' that!
For a' that, an' a' that,
It's comin yet for a' that,
That man to man the world o'er
Shall brithers be for a'that.
(as come it will for a' that)
that Sense and Worth o'er a the earth
Shall bear the gree an' a' that!
For a' that, an' a' that,
It's comin yet for a' that,
That man to man the world o'er
Shall brithers be for a'that.
The first verse of Auld Lang Syne, because it bugs me greatly to her people sing "for the sake", Burns never wrote that.
Auld Lang Syne 1st Verse
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to min'
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And auld lang syne
For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne.
And never brought to min'
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
And auld lang syne
For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne.
Well Burns would have been proud of the Arcadia Team as we Paraded the Haggis at Dinner around The Meridian Restaurant, and then toasted it with Whisky. To Alan G - hope your head is OK today!!!!..............

I bet the Burns Night and addressing of the Haggis was a sight to behold, although I personally don't like the taste of it!
You look very dashing in your photographs - thanks for spending so much time - I almost feel as if I'm doing the voyage with you.
