Sailing South to Madeira

Hello Again,

Today we have found the sunshine, blue skies and calm waters, much more exciting the the American Elections - who did Hilary's Hair today I wonder? Did you see her on the news coming out of the poling station? We have far more important business going on like three weddings, two Captain's Gala Receptions and a Formal Welcome on Board Dinner! The new show company have been rehearsing all day and are all ready for curtain up on 'True Brit' - I hope to get out of dinner on time to see some of it. I wonder what my table companions will be like? I bet they are wondering if the EP will be any fun!

Captain Walters does a great Wedding Service - Arcadia having been built in Venice is a very romantic setting for one's wedding. The Bride and Groom looked blissfully happy as they took their vows in the elegance of the Viceroy Room on Deck 10, the flowers, the cake, the gifts, the champagne all were 'out of the brochure'.The congregation was made up of 8 other guests and lots of photographs were taken. 'Hello' eat your heart out! After the signing of the register the couple were having a small reception in The Orchid Bar for more Champs and Canapes, then a tour of the ship for various photo shots and I know they are dining in Arcadian Rhodes this evening.

I had lots of meeting this morning, some appointments. What other job in the world could you get so much variety in one day? Have a good day whatever you are up to!
James.

'She starts - she moves - she seems to feel - the thrill of life along her keel.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow from 'the building of a ship' 1849
